Window sticker became available this morning! Some quick research to decode the numbers bordering the sticker told me that my “blend date” is set for 17-September-2023. The blend date, generally speaking, is when all of the parts allocated for this truck begins to blend together on the assembly line.

Three days after the UAW strike deadline

Secured the drop kit for the truck today. Grabbed a few pics from their website to post, for now. The front will be lowered 3” using tubular upper and lower control arms. Bushings are Delrin. These facilitate using the oem coil over to retain ride quality (believe that when I see it, lol!!) and align to factory specs.

The rear uses a 6” flip kit and a 1” lift shackle to provide 5” of drop. From what I’ve gathered, 6” of total drop gives the risk of the driveshaft touching the bed or a crossmember. Either way, pinion angle correction is built into the flip kit.

I’m not going to use the rear shocks long term. The goal is to get another set of double adjustable Viking shocks but from KellTrac. He offers a custom valved shock but in the factory length. This time, I won’t have to use a shock relocation.

Aside from that, a set of traction bars should round out the suspension setup for a while.

@96blak54 - That’s the plan :cool:

Still no production updates to speak of as of 0900 this morning. I didn’t anticipate getting the truck before mid to late October so I’m not worried, just yet.

I’m going to keep collecting and stashing parts in the mean time. Another thing I’m adding to the collection is a splitter from Bullseye Custom.

While I have yet to buy into the pre-order, I’m absolutely going to rock one of his roll pans as well.

Sticking with the sport truck theme, he’s also developing a spoiler for these trucks. I’ll have to see the final product before I commit to this.

do you think the strike could effect the build?

Not at the moment. The striking facilities don’t effect F-150 production.

However, if the Fain calls the UAW Local 249 to strike, it absolutely will affect it.

Survived the UAW strike! Truck has been built and I’m awaiting delivery.

Anyone care to guess how long it will take to get to Prairieville, LA (Baton Rouge area) from Kansas City, Missouri?

That splitter and rollpan will look pissah!
Not feeling that spoiler though. Looks like the one on my Fusion.
I'm not a fan of spoilers on pickups though, so don't listen to me brother. :D

Not sold on it myself. Besides, I'm planning for a soft bed cover as well and it'll probably interfere anyway.

I found this 2009 F150 4.6L 4x4 for sale locally for $17k. Only 28k miles. Is this a good year F150, motor, drivetrain, etc?? Is that a fair price?

Those had the 4.6 3V were prone to spitting out spark plugs, issues with AC electronics and cam phaser knock.

Otherwise, good slow and reliable truck.
