LOL. We wear them up here. I used to live in SD, PQ to be exact. Where you at??

I have never in my 17 years of living here have been there. Del mar, yes. Poway, yes. In the middle, nope.
I'm out in east Chula Vista.

Ha! Hilarious. I lived there for over 7 yrs. 19th street Del Mar was our beach. Oh, the memories.

Back on topic, snow has touched the ground here a few times recently.... If it does again, I'll have to run the Cobra out in it!

I used to drive mine all year round when I first bought it but it has never seen snow/salt. I would park it the day before the snow came and not drive it again until after a heavy rain washed away all that nasty salt.

Wifey used to get pissed because I would make her drive me to work until it rained.

I usually drive mine year round, but in South Carolina...that's usually possible since we don't hardly see snow at all. However, last year we got a decent amount for this area (I used to live in PA, so I know what REAL snow is). My car does not go in a heavy rain, much less snow, so she sat until all that powdery white stuff dissipated. When that happens, I drive my hubbys FWD V6 Turbo Saab, that thing will go in most anything...and still has the POWAH.

I do and I hate doing it. I just don't drive when it's snowing or when it's on the pavement because well even in like a quater inch of snow my car isn't having it.

Since it came up, I'll submit that my '03 Focus ZTS was not one of my better snow cars. I forget the snow tire brand, but they were good and highly rated. What killed it was the fact that it was a light car with (kind of) wide tires for its size. Couldn't get its weight down in the snow, front end lost traction quickly.

My '04 will go through the winter on Cooper Zeon all-seasons. Got caught a few times last year. T/C off, start in second, get ready to steer with the throttle like it's a World of Outlaws car. Doable.

Yah... what is this white stuff? I'd say I will sorta daily mine... but it won't see snow so that is not fair.
Yeah I was gonna ask what this snow thing was also. My winters are a little colder being in the so cal desert but I haven't seen snow since 2002 and that was only because I was stationed in Kansas. I had a f 150 that was a 4x2 and put some wieght in the back and never had a problem.

I used to DD my old V6 because it was the only vehicle that I had at the time. It sucked, especially in northern Indiana, but I didn't have much of a choice. Since then, I've basically purchased a small fleet of vehicles. I DD my crown vic, ranger, or my wife's escort.

I used to drive my 90 Fox all season. Kind of like drivng a bobsled sideways.

The 03' was much better but I got a 01 Escape for daily duties after the second winter in the 03.

Back in the early 90s my 87 GT was the only car that I owned and well had to get to work some how. 15 inch snows on the stock turbine wheels and 4 E7 heads in the hatch worked out great. And thats even in 9-10 inchs of the white stuff. But then 38 of the 40 years that I have been on this planet was spent in Colorado/Iowa/Nebraska so driving in the snow was just normal and no big deal.

Now its all 4WD and Cummins for me when the stuff gets deep and FWD Saturn crap box when we get a dusting of 3-4 inchs.

I did a 2000 GT one winter. With good tires, it tore it up!

I think good tires are a must if your going to snow drive one of these things!

One of my employees dailies an 08 V6 but with his Blizzaks on during the winter he swears it isn't that bad as long as the snow isn't really deep.

I drive my car year round now that I live somewhere that's about half the elevation of the place I was living last winter. Still won't be driving it in the snow unless it snows while I'm at work. The pig is much better in conditions like that.
