Replaced thermostat, fuse, fan plug and fan. Is there something I am missing? I'm gonna re check the wireing when I get home but I just need to know if there is anything else that might be failing on me that I don't know about.

Any help is appreciated.

Maybe the water pump, but before you go back out and try working on it again I'd recommend taking a chill pill before you make shit worse on your car by breaking something out of frustration

did you replace the fan on this car? i have had quite a few of these cars and a number of them have had intermittent fan issues.it seemed it worked but it wasnt really working all the time and not to full potential, also why the plugs begin to melt and stuff.

My original plug was melting so I got a new one from the ford dealer and replaced the plug. I also went ahead and replaced the fan because I read a faulty fan is what causes the plug to melt. The car is heating up at a dead stop and cools down once were moving cause I'm getting air flowing through the radiator while moving.

Keep in mind. Just redid the wireing and fan last night. I'm going to check the wireing and add some gel that a buddy of mine told me to use to prevent corrosion and help with the plugs contact.

The water pump has less than a year on it and I don't have any water missing so a head gasket or pump is unlikely. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any sort of relay or switch of some sort.

A water pump can fail prematurely. Just because it's only a year old doesn't mean it's bullet proof. And you don't have to be missing coolant to have a bad water pump. It could have seized up, not all parts are going to be perfect.

I hear ya, I just wish there was a more accurate way to tell whether its gone bad or not. I'm not ruleing anything out I just assume its less likely to be the culprit.

Does the fan run? Should be able to hear it turn on in idle.

Does it run in the right direction? It should pull air, not push.

My neighbors Expedition acted similarly. We threw a new stat and coolant in it only to realize the water pump had taken a shit. Its not too hard to take out on our cars, just give it a looksee.

Could be a bad t-stat. I had to go through a few of those on my other ford before I got one to finally work. Also dont our cars have fan switches?

And I wouldnt rule out a water-pump man. Have a 94 mustang gt(i know diff engine) but in the past year we have done about 4 water pumps on it. Needless to say it did not like aftermarket companies.. just did an oem one on it and hopefully that fixes the issue..

So until you fix it.. dont stop! just blow all red lights.. lol

and also like someone said. Burp the system. Could be an air bubble in there somewhere..

just double check ur fan is working...heat it up and pop the hood and see if its running, although you should hear it from inside the car even..also try burping your cooling system and while its running give ur upper rad hose a squeeze and see if it has good pressure in it.
