because they're only a 3 bolt c/c plate and don't have as much adjustability for an alignment or setting it up for a day at the track.

Well I decided to give HOTCHKIS a call.

Their reason was that becuase of the coil overs and all the weight the aluminum plate from the caster/camber plate has to retain, they have had a cpl instances where the aluminum plate warped or broke. So thats they have that disclaimer.

sounds about right. Most people go with a 4 bolt the the MM ones. I did on mine just for the strength and stress the coilover puts on the tower. 3 bolts are fine for regular springs and struts.

A better question will be WHY 3 BOLTS? the stock plates are 3 bolts. :dunno:

For what it's worth, I broke a set of Hotchkis plates a looong time ago using coil overs. I think maybe back in 2001? Maybe 2002? :dunno:

because with coil overs all the weight is running into the CC plate.

you'll definately want 4 bolt for coils.
