Because I took my stock springs to the metal recyclers when I got my lowering springs. Plus I'm not a fan of cutting coils. I'm sure it is fine but I don't think I would do it to my car.

Nothing wrong with cutting a LINEAR rate spring, it's progressive ones that get you! If you do it properly (cut off wheels) you will have no issues, I'm running 1 coil cut up front, uncut in the rear on stock mach 1 springs and my car launches like a beast, here is the squat on launch, taking sway bar off this weekend, goal is to lift one of these heavy *****es without my supercharger.

I run 1 coil cut in the rear springs. Seems to work fine for me. Worse thing to have is lowering springs. I would get a cheap set of stock springs ( lots of them out there b/c people always sell them once they lower them) and cut 1 coil other then spending the money on lowering springs. If its good enough for Dave Zimmerman then I'm all for it.

Most big drag orientate suspension guys (Team Z, Wolfe, UPR, etc) will tell ya the best route to run on a stock suspension location car is stock springs cut to your length. Same results as a drag spring.
