Yeah soon as I have time to get them on I will post pictures. I am buying a D3100 this weekend too, so they'll be good pictures and not cell phone ones like usual haha.

The cobra should have been the GT and ford should off did something better with the cobra.. Especially with what GM was putting out..
Yeah, but look at how many GTs were put on the road from those years, and how many are STILL on the road... apparently they had to have done SOMETHING right.

anyone *****ing about the 99/01 Cobra not being different enough obviously never owned a 94/95 Cobra. true story.

I think the 94/95 should of got a 351.. A HCI is really nothing to set it apart..

Why 94/95?....what about 96/98? Fact is a 96-98 cobra is just as fast as a 99/01 cobra....thats not progression. Yea, if you compare 94/95 to 99/01 theres a different motor and a nice jump in power, but that's not the case. The 96-98 Cobra exists....
Those 4.6 2vs wanna run forever!

because of all the Cobras the 94/95s got the least "cobra stuff" over the other Mustangs. the 99/01 still got the 4v motor vs the 2v in the GT, the 01 got Cobra seats, rear bumper, 31 spline axles, IRS etc. What did the 5.0 cobras get, a front bumper, brakes, still a 5.0 with some decent upgrades.
As far as the being fast argument the 99/01 Cobra was still a good step up from the GT, if you want to get down to Cobra progression I could see it but every year the Cobra doesn't always get better, it was only when they jumped to the Termy that the Cobra really became a big step up in performance.
Even the '96 Cobra wasn't much faster than the 5.0 Cobra and the 94 and 93 were probably about the same as well, so if you're going to crap on the 99/01 Cobras then you might as well just throw out all of them from 94-01.

True, the 94/95 cobra was a pretty lame step up...but what I am comparing is the 96-98 vs the 99-01 cobra.
Yea, the 99/01 is a step up from the GT...but less than a step up than the 96-98 cobra was from the 96-98 gt, thats for sure.
Im sure the overall car is better...but it just annoys me that in a straight line itsreally not much if any faster than a 96-98 cobra from what ive seen.
They shoulda put a detuned 5.4 4v in that *****

Perfect step up from the 300 hp 96-98 to the 390 hp 03/04 if you ask me.

They could have put a 5.4 in it but then people would have *****ed about the 01 Cobra having a bigger engine than the 03 Cobra despite the blower. Everyone would have wanted a blown 5.4, then the Ford GT is lame cause it has the same motor as the Cobra, etc. You could pick it apart pretty much any way they did it.
I'm thinkin about it... the 99/01 Cobra had to be faster than the 96-98 at least a little bit. the 96-98 were running what about 14.0, but new edge GTs were running pretty much the same thing so the 99-01s had to be in the high 13s at least. Obviously it's not a second faster like the 96 GT vs Cobra but it's still faster, and also besides speed you get the IRS and some other goodies also which make the car a better driver all around.
My first time ever at the track with my stock '95 I ran 14.3 so if 14.0 is the best the 96 Cobras could do it's still in the same boat as the 98 vs 99.
