So, when I start my car for what seems like forever it beeps. I have aftermarket seats in the damn thing and i'm thinking it's a seatbelt alarm or something. What is this beeping, and why does it happen, and HOW do I get it to stop?

Is it a beeping sound that comes from the dashboard?

If so, its your airbag control box. Chances are your airbag light is out. The beeping is there to let you know to replace it.

Yeah I know the airbag is inop. I have a race wheel in the car and the passengers side was blown a longggg time ago. How do I shut this thing up?

I got the same thing. I dunno I'm thinking I might be able to pull on of the air bag fuses and shut it up.

Is this the same type of beeping you get when you open your door??? If so, your door stop switch is broken, or the door stop has been bent. My last mustang didn't have any airbags, and it never beeped. The airbag light was always on though.

I'll have to check tomorrow morning.

Also, my driver side door lock (the thing that pops up by the window) isn't going down everytime I hit the lock button. Talk about pissing me off... what is the cause of this?!

Hahah my car has the same door lock problem, only mustang I've been in with this problem... glad to hear others are suffering too... anyways sometimes If you hit the switch really fast the door lock will go down on its own.

If you dont have airbags anyway, just unplug it. Its the blue box either underneath the radio, right about the tranny tunnel.

yeah, exactly what mdnitedrftr said!
I unplugged the airbag control module (blue box) from my Thunderbird because it would do 3 to 4 sets of 5-times beeping before stopping, but it will do it again on every startup.
