As some of you may have seen from my topic that I am selling my mustang. I want to get either a pushrod or a 4v. Nothing against my 2v or any others but I'm ready for a change.

Honestly The difference in the 94-95 GT and the 94-95 Cobra is so minimal in performance and the price sometimes is outrageously different. I would find a GT like i did 94 GT great Mait record for 1800 :) Then go from there. Oh and get a IRS if you want comfort if you want Power without having to spend $$$ on the IRS go with a SRA.

I agree i drove a 99 Cobra right when they came out and i have loved the IRS ever Since just the cost of beefin them up is so $$$

Atlantic blue has a very good taste in cars haha. But with the money you save in buying a 94-95 gt, over a 94-95 cobra, you could put into the gt and probaly be at least on the same level if not closer, and you may be able to get a car in better shape for a better price, but either way you go, pushrods ftw!

some people just want the "Cobra" rarity whether or not the performance is spectacular.

just throwin that out there... again

if you want a decently comfortable ride, 99/01 Cobra.

i fell in love with the IRS when i rode in my friend's 99 Cobra.

An IRS is fairly easy to come by now-a-days, that i wouldn't make it a defining factor in buying a car..

Im leaning towards the pushrod. Simply due to the fact that the go fast parts are so much cheaper than the modular motors. And you guys made good points about the 94-95 cobra being more expensive but not much more performance.

If I had the option, I would trade my 4v Cobra for a Pushrod Cobra, plus about $4,000 cash on their part. Then I'd pull the motor and make it a 347 with forged internals and slap on a KB .

Hell if your considering a 99-01 just wait a little longer... stack a few more chips, and get the baddest stang on the planet "03/04 TERMINATOR" and be done with it!

Why not a Mach? I drove a Terminator and wasn't overly impressed with the stock power or the IRS :dontknow:

You must have driven one that was wounded or not feeling well as far as power wise.

and I guess I vote or new edge 2v. Why not look for a "B"

The main difference between the 94-95 GT/cobras is the heads and intake. While yes the cobras do perform better, but are those parts you plan on upgrading anyway? just a thought...
