your opinoin on lowering springs

If i go with a better spring like eibach or steeda will the ride quality be that bad? I just put saleen wheels on and it needs lowered bad but my dad says it will ride like shit so tell me what you think.

Lower for handling, not appearance. You need more than springs. (You asked for opinions. That's mine. Do you really want to have to creep over speed bumps just to look pretty?)

the only way to get that low is do Coilovers... or you can do either H&R SS Springs or Eibach Sportlines.

I would recommend Eibach Sportlines because you want ride comfort.... but to get all low of my car you need to run the Sprins with no Spring ISOs

I have the Pro-Kits on mine. It lowered it about 1 1/4". She does not take bumps very good. I take every dip at insane angles to prevent scraping. I do not even attempt speed bumps, if I don't have to. The positives far outweigh the negatives though! I love how it made mine look and corner! The bad stuff I can drive differently!

Oh yeah! And I had to buy C/C Plates, too!!

I wasn't happy with the "ride" of my stang with the stock setup, so for me the ride improved. Not the "ride quality" (soft over bumps?), but with an aftermarket spring and shock setup, it doesn't rebound over large bumps/dips, has no brake dive and doesn't lean in hard turns like it used to. Looks much better now also. I want to go even lower firmer and put the ISOs back in eventually - probably the H&R spring setup.

The best ride quality you'll get is on good stock rubber iso's, and stock springs. ANYTHING you do, will make the ride harsher, firmer, whatever you wanna call it.

The car was designed to ride nice and look cool, not handle well and feel firm.

Your Dad's right. After adding lowering springs, shocks, CC plates your ride quality will suffer, there's just no way around it. There are degrees to acceptable ride quality though. Just make sure you get quality components - no cheepie stuff and your setup should hold up for a long time.

I have the eibach pro-kit. it is harsh over bumps, but handles corners nice. i want to go lower eventually, but it has a good stance. people notice its loweredm but i dont really scrape too much
