I went out tonight and what luck I thought I had found a new Z06 and wanted to see if I could keep up with it but it wasn't. I got my normal laugh and then offered him a head start so I gave him jump then pulled him then I got the ricer flyby so I chased him down and we ran a couple more times. That was the fastest I have ever been(top speed wise). Its nothing to brag about because I well out powered him, I just thought I would share. video sucked you cant see anything because the truck topped out at 100 or should I say quit registering.

yeah I thought so but it seems thats with drag radials. I figured out buy rpm, rear gear, trans gear, and tire size we were going around 170-180. those are nice cars.

I heard some people at SVTP saying that C6 Z06s can run 10s stock with a VERY good driver. I'm not sure if I should believe that and whether or not it is with drag radials, gears, etc.

A Z06 is supose to run high 10's low 11's stock but this was the "baby" corvette(not the Z06). The Z06 is a killer but the are not allowed at the track without a rollbar.

I thought they could run provided they didn't exceed an 11.50 ET?

With an everyday driver I figured mid to high 11's so it would be a good run.

There is a guy on the Corvette forum nicknamed Ranger that has gone [email protected] on DR other then that the car was bone stock. He also ran [email protected] on the stock run flats. I am reading these times from the Corvette Fever article right now. He has a website where he talks about his techniques used to race and what to do to try and improve your times.

I drove my friends 07 Z06...it pulls like mad..specially 1st and 2nd gear..i got use to it pretty fast after driving it for 30 minutes and i would say with a good driver it can pull 11.50-60's in the 1/4 at 124-126.

why must these vettes be so damn fast :hammer:

Because they don't have small displacement modular motors or weigh 4000 pounds.

that is true.....

vettes are light.. a little over 3k and have big motors

the modular part has nothing to do with it

7.0 is a big motor...im sure you could get some big power out of a 7.0 4v dohc modular motor

lol...I know.....thats not Fords style I guess.

Although If they would put a turbo on that 4.6 4v and put it in a lighter model stang they might have something from the factory.
