hi guys!

next week I'll get me my 1998 mustang v6 auto. its already lowered with H&R springs - but I think it still has the stock shocks (stock length) because it still sits "high":

these are 18" rims.. I think it would be sit lower with some new sport-shocks or something. what do you guys think?

some of my friends got some dropzone suspensions (spring & shocks) on their cars (but they're no mustangs) and I just checked if there're something for the stang..

the car is my dailydrive and I want something more sport, it rides good - lil bit stiffer with the springs, but its still kinda soft. so thats why I tought I need some new shocks......

dont get dropzone springs, the H&R springs are waaay better. if you really want to replace the stock shocks/struts, get either the fox body ones (stock....they are shorter than the sn95 ones) or get some tokico dspec ones. these are adjustable and will give you a very comfortable ride if you set them soft enough, and perform really good if you ever go to the track or whatever

changing the shock wont lower the car though. Springs are known to settle in a few weeks.

the fox body ones, if you want stock ones, you will have to try to get from a ford dealership. if not, just look around any mustang parts shop and they should be able to get them to you. try www.summitracing.com or www.brothersperformance.com.

and they are right, its not going to lower the car anymore, but it will improve the ride quality. if you are still on the stock ones, dont expect them to last much longer.

if you want to lower the car some more, remove the isolators. the isolators are rubber bushings that are placed on the top and bottom of each spring to help reduce the noise and improve ride comfort. if you take off the lower isolators from all four corners, you should be able to get another 1/2" lower

These guys are right on, shocks and struts only control ride, not your ride height.I would say if the springs have been in for a few
months then they've dropped all they're gonna drop.I guess if you want it lower, you'll have to get springs that have more of a drop.

thx bro! man looks like my stang is the only one with H&R springs that still is a "offroader"..it seems all other rides with H&Rs are lower than mine. there are different H&R ones? with different drop numbers??

Re: 98 Stang lowered with H&R springs, which shocks I need?

oooookay, now - I picked up my mustang v6 yesterday.. it seems the car's still on the stock suspension. think there's no lowering springs or anything "aftermarket" at the suspension.

okay... so these H&R supersports are the best springs? with the most of drop? I see some stangs with supersports without the isos in front and that exactly what I want it to look like :)

where can I get these h&r supersports for my 98 v6?? onlineshop, link? ... or anybody got the h&r partnumber? because perhaps I can order them over here at a h&r shop.......

Easy way to tell, take off one of the tires and look at the spring. My eibach's say right on them "sportlines". Im sure h&r's also say something.

yeah I'll check.. but I really think they'll be stock.. I know how H&R springs feel from other cars, so I can say the mustang doesn't have them :-\
