3.90 gas mileage

for those of you that question gas mileage with gear swaps here some info on a trip i just took.

i went to see some friends of mine that are in college.. its about 330miles from where i live now.

and when i left today i decided to log and calculate my gas mileage

so from click full to redline on gas gauge i drove my car 319.9 miles and thats with the cruise set at sevendy five the entire time, taching 2500rpms

so do the math, i averaged 21.7mpg with all my mods and 3.90s

i calculate from a full tank of fuel until next stop. calculate mileage from gallons put back in. using my tripometer. if it says i went 160 miles and i put 5.6 gallons in. i do the math from there.

yeah unless you filled up the tank again when you got there to see how many actual gallons you used your data isn't going to be that accurate, going by what your fuel gauge says doesn't mean much. Also just wondering is your speedo properly corrected for?

I have had a best of 26mpg with 3:73 gears. I have done that more than once.

I have gotten 30mpg consistent with my 5.0L and 3.73s, but that's canadian MPG, not sure what that is in US gallons... but I dont care, gas mileage isn't why I bought a car with a V8.
