The story:
For some reason I have always wanted AFR heads (not sure why because I have no expeirence with any aftermarket head). I ordered my motor with AFR heads but their supplier is out and awaiting shipment. Time is not an issue but they offered the other two heads at the same price and offered to cut the pistons for the TFS heads at no extra cost. The car will just be used as a weekend/sunny day cruiser. Transmission will be a TKO600 and a D1sc as a power adder. Is one head better than the other?

the trickflow head as more potential if your willing to have it ported. out of the box and just bolting them on i would probably go with the afr head

Brand New AFR 190 head.

Have you seen them??

Pure insanity. Check them out. Better than all 3 heads you have listed.

They make the powe an AFR 205 head does.

The 190 flows 301cfm @ .550 lift

From Ed Curtis.

AFR 190cc Outlaw Small Block Ford Cylinder Head

190cc intake runner
12.5* intake valve
14.5* exhaust valve
301cfm at .550" lift

Yes it will clear your factory shortblock with a reasonable cam.

It was flowed on a 4.060" bore with a 1 3/4" pipe

Yes this is a rotated chamber design, not like TFS.

Yes you can use a regular rocker.

There are no usable heads available to the public yet.

We expect to be able to sell them by the first of the year, spring at the latest.

We will make larger versions and are on the fence about a 175cc version.

Stock exhaust port height.

Standard style intake manifold.

The part numbers might change for production reasons.

The solid roller versions will most likely option to a standard 7/16" stud and will definitely be 10 degree.

Yes the flow numbers are actually that good.

Sweet, that sounds like a good option. I wonder what kind of price tag it will have

BTW that was from the end of last year so they might be available. They are in the 2009 catalog.
