4.6L Motor

I own a 96 GT and i know they are known to have problems with the intake and heads hence the PI swap. As such i would like to get a 4.6L out of a different vehicle to build up since mine works fine now. My question is what other cars / trucks came with the same engine as the mustang. My local salvage yard has no mustangs but tons of other fords from the same years wasnt sure if they were the same. And since im in California i have to keep it all smog legal so i cant switch to much around.

Chris- The 4.6 was in quite a few Ford and Mercury vehicles but you're gonna be better off getting one out of another Mustang.

look into a lincoln mark 8 motor. their dohc either that or a cobra motor.
