Requires a little wiggling and you DEFINITELY need a load leveler on your cherry picker to drop it in from the top but it clears the MC with about an inch to spare. The 4v motors are a little tighter fit. I designed a set of small spacers for the k-member for 4v swaps. Use .4" for the k-membere and .2" for the tranny mount.

voidfinger said:so one question Red, does the 5.4 make the same peak hp as the 4.6? Say if the 4.6 is makeing 320 rwhp with some stage 2 or 3 heads and a big cam, would the 5.4 match that hp or make more? I'm just curious. I'm just trying to get all my ducks in a row and make my mind up on what i'm going to be doing.

I got wind that the intake is going to be retailing for 795. I'll beg Bob for a group purchase price for the first batch. We'll see.
Longtubes will probably cost 350-500 depending on coating. Just a guess based on the makers existing offerings.

r3dn3ck said:12's should be there with a base 5.4 install and tune.. If you can drive it to the times and you have a good motor 12.8 or 12.9 shouldn't be too hard to come by at all, get your launch down and it's better. For 11's you'll need to go further with mods.
The swap will be all but free for you since you're doing the work. If you need one I have a spare new 11" nodular iron 8-bolt flywheel for 01.5-04 5 speed gt. Needed for swaps to 5.4's on those years GT's. Earlier years use 10.5" flywheel or convert to 11" clutch. I converted to a 10.5" clutch.
Also have a complete 11" clutch and 6 bolt flywheel.
Both are shipping + 30 bucks.
