94 gt 351w swap

Im wondering if anyone was able to swap to a 351w and keep the stock hood. Im familar with people using drop mounts but im having trouble finding info on somebody doing it with any documentation. would a k-member be needed? as of now my setup is either gonna be carbureted or maybe an aces complete kit
