just stays there. on a road course so its pretty limited at getting these speeds.what happens at 120?
Mine would pull up to about 140 just fine with not much more than a cam, ported heads, and a chip.
I seen picture of a stock 95 gt at Charlotte posted at 138 on the speedway.
just sits there. still in fourth not yet in the redDoes it feel like it's hitting a rev limiter? Or it just kinda sit there?
ok thanks.Stock computer speed limits around 125. If it pulls strong to there then just stops that’s your problem.

125? I am pretty sure I had mine up to 135 but that was 20 yrs ago....
Stick or auto? Nevermind just seen where you said you was still in fourth. How much power you making?my car will not run past 120. it is not stock, has gt40 heads,intake,manifold,x-cam. 3.55 gears.so why will it not run past 120.. seems to be pulling just not going...
My car has 112k miles. Pulls really hard up to 120, just seems to be all it has. Everything I read says 95 doesn’t have a programmable computer. Still a blast to drive. LolTuners would have settings to up the speed if it was in the computer just like the later cars.
It is air drag and old age entropy, the '95/ '96 SN95 were pushing 160 RWHP or less and the highest I have seen listed for a stock tweaked out '96 is 170 RWHP.
These stock engines were putting out .56 HP/CID which is why you see so many of them left. On the track with the stock engine and a good tune I could get to 105 on the straights with a tail wind, engine had 200k on it and the bearings and cylinder walls and leak down at 10%... looked great.
