Hey guys, I just bought a cobra brake kit and am not too sure which lines I need. I understand the 03-04 cobra calipers require a different banjo bolt, but what front lines do I need? If I get lines for a 2003/04 Cobra, will they mate up to the metal hard lines on my car now? Or are the 96-98 and 99-04 lines different? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Also, OEM rubber or stainless?

You will need the longer Mach 1/Cobra front brake lines. The braided lines offer better brake feel and longevity but either will work well.

i got "cobra" brake likes for the same year GT i have ( 98) from orielly auto parts, they were $30 for both sides and have lifetime warrenty. they mounted perfectly but you will need the "banjo kit" to screw the breake lines onto the cobra calipers ( check buyfordracing.com) thats where i got my brakes and banjo fittings.

The 03/04 Mach1/Cobra brake lines are different than the 96-98 Cobra. Get the brake lines for a 96-98 Cobra and you should be good. I know this because I just did the brake lines on my 97 Cobra. I was going to use the brake lines off of my 03 Mach parts car, but the mouting brackets are different at the frame.

I believe the banjo bolts are the same. But if you are worried about it go to advance or auto zone and get new ones. They are $17.00 each in my neck of the woods.
