Did any year Mustang or the 1999 gt ever come with 4.10 gears from the factory. My buddy keeps telling me his dads did. But still get 20+mpg. And revs just under 2k. Wouldnt it rev aroud 2500-3000?

The car did not come with 4.10's and with an auto and 4.10's at 70 mph your looking at 2500-2600 rpms and I believe 5-speeds are about 150-250 rpms lower. Have him count how many times the driveshaft turns for every one rotation that the tires turn. That will give you an idea. Just have him put it up in the air and mark where the stated watching on the driveshaft. That will tell you real quick like

I had a similar case with a member here on this board being told that his cobra came with 373s from the factory. Its a shame when dumb ass people give out miss-information. There is no way 410s came in your GT from the factory,.........not even close to the stock gear ratio. More like 327's is what it came with.

3.55:1 was the max... (according to my friend standing behind me.... lol) he says hes not 100% about it, but is pretty positive that 3.55s were max.

No sir, sorry I made a thread about this just a few weeks ago. 355's were NOT a factory option on them ( except for the terminator of course ) 327's were the max.

thats what my friend said... he said he thought the 03 04s were the only ones with the 3.55s and i already proved my lack of knowledge in your first thread, so i tried not to say anything in this one
