Whats going on guys..and the few ladies on here. Figured id start a build thread just to document the progress of the car while it's in my possession. I've owned a few mustangs in the past (91' Notch back 5.0 and a 03' Gt).. But this is my 1st SN95. Ive always liked the body lines on them,so when i got a chance to get my buddys from him for $1,000 i figured id make it my project car.. Well enough about that, lets get to the car and my plans for it...

The Car: 1994 Gt Vert. 5.0 'GOLD EDITION'

Current mods:: O/R H pipe to Flowmasters (great sound)...Single din head unit...and motor rebuilt (stock rebuild) 18k miles ago.

The bad: Paint faded, window motors go down need help up,needs a new vert top, drivers seat motor shot, interior needs to be cleaned.

This year my main focus will be appearance. Winter will be motor work.
On my Mod list:: Lowered 1-1/2,
Fr500 in mirror black, 18x10 - 18x9
Color swap-2012 Charger Burnt orange
Bride all black seats
Smoothline hard top (cobra)
Vertical Tail lights tinted (HATEEEE my horiz. )
Cobra hood/Front bumper
Blank (no lettering) Rear bumper
B&M Hammer Shifter
Few other things I have planned, but not sure which way I wanna go.

Heres a few pics and an exhaust clip for everyone.

exhaust sounds good..lookin forward to seeing the progress

keep in mind that aftermarket companies cant use molds identical to manufatures that have letters in them......my point being that if you're gonna pay someone to fill in the letters that it might be cheaper to buy an aftermarket rear cover instead

Cant beat that for a grand at all!! Plans sound nice!

Just looked for the 03-04 Cobra Rear Bumper over there on CJPP and they want $826!!! Thats ridiculous...

Guess thats a OEM Ford piece though so that explains the pricing. Anyone know of a company that sells the 03-04 Cobra bumper with no lettering?

Chris I know there's someone that does because I've seen them before.. Unless it was custom filling being done. Not sure to be honest.

But Above welcome to forum man you seem like a cool dude, happy to have more cool people on here! For a grand that's a steal bud. I've got some front cloth seats you could use until you got your new seats but I doubt you live at all close to me lol.

Thanks man,yea i agree with being cool..haha. Thanks for the offer on the seats, but i have them...they were just taken out bc i was about to vacuum the carpets. I HATEEEE buying a car and not cleaning the interior fully. Feels like im riding around in another persons body funk. lol. If you watch the Exhaust video you will see the pass seat sitting on the side.

Duh I totally missed that lol... I hear ya on the cleaning thing lol I didn't do that with my Mustang when I got it (April '12) and now my seats are all pulled out and I see what the PO(s) left me! A dip bottle... Papertowels... A pack of Tic Tacs... A license... Lol yeah needless to say when I bought my ZJ I cleaned that focker out.

I had Flowmaster's on mine when I bought it, matched to a Pypes o/r X and haaaated it lol. It sounded so effing bad it wasn't even funny. The old school hot rods can pull off that really rattly tangy clinky clanky clunky sound but dammit it was just bad news on my Mustang haha. When I ripped them out I found out they were completely blown out on the inside... I had borrowed a buddys Flow dumps and couldn't stand those either. I don't know, just not a Flowmaster guy without cat's lol. Yours sounds good tho maybe it's the H pipe. The x gives it the rasp whereas the H gives it the low rumble and growl. Sounds good! Maybe if I had an H pipe with Flowmasters that WEREN'T blown out I would have liked it more haha

Got two things working against you:
1. Pypes = junk. Had a full Pypes exhaust on my '97. After only one year the flanges on the cat-back rotted through and the cats were starting to plug up on the X pipe.
2. Flowmaster = usually doesn't sound terrible but the quality (again) isn't great and the drone is awful.

Common link? They're cheap. As we know cheap = shit.

OP welcome aboard, that's a fantastic starting point. Looking forward to watching the progress.

Very true. I have since changed to a Bassani x and a set of Borla XR1's from MC. MUCH better but being dumped the drone is far worse than any Flowmaster. But without cats on the drone isn't too bad. I went with the stainless x because I didn't want it rotting out, and also go the catted version for echeck. Set me back a good amount but well worth it IMO

Sounds good so far man. Those wheels are gonna look sick. Are you putting sequentials in with the new tails? Plasti dip is a great idea man, I dipped my fender badges and grille emblem. When it gets warm enough I'm dipping the bottom plastic piece on my rear bumper thats peeling. PD is a helluva lot cheaper than gettin it painted and if you don't like it just take it off lol, don't get betta than that imo. Definately keep us updated. I need to get my bumpers painted and side skirts so I feel your pain lol
