So during the last couple weeks I've been working on getting my Cobra back in order after it sitting for the last six years. While removing the mid pipe in preps to swap the tranny the studs that connect my headers to my midpipe snapped. Three out of the four to be exact. I've PB Blasted them, took a torch to them and couldnt get them to budge (still installed on car). So now I'm trying to decide if I should pull the headers and try again with them out... or pull and replace the headers.. I'm trying not to spend anymore money right now but I can if needed. What do you guys think I should do??

I've never done that before, wouldnt hurt to give it a try though lol.

Just make sure to Drill out the entire stud. My old headers still had some stud left over Because The (moron) who drilled it out went off center on the stud and didnt grind the freaking thing down, The bolts that held my downpipes on were... errr. crooked.

If its a 5.0 is take the headers off and try to drill them in a vise. If you can't get them out, get new headers

If its a 4.6 cobra, well ur up shit creek.

Its a 5.0, I'm going to try to drill them while they are still installed first. Really dredding pulling the headers just to put the old ones back on haha. But I'll give the drilling a shot here in the next evening or two.
