Haven't posted anything about it here before...

The car:

Basically, about 5 years ago I bought it for $500, 4 banger, automatic, gray interior, rod knock, clean title, pretty clean body/paint, I'm in CA so there's no rust.

I used a donor car, and swapped in a stock 5.0, T5, and changed the interior to black.
I ran a best of 13.01 @ 104mph with a 1.7 60' with the stock motor, 3.73 gears, slicks, short belt, longtube o/r exhaust...basic bolt-ons
Moved to socal, started road racing and doing more auto-x's instead of drag racing.

Built my `97 fobra, and got bored with the stock motor's rpm range and power, it was still fun but it no longer scared me :)

I had it dyno'd for a baseline -

not bad...but I want double that.

stock shortblock cleaned up, just some simple green, wd40, and scotch pads

can't hardly see the intercooler (which is a 3-core procharger air-to-air setup)
IMG_1420.jpg

filter will be in the fender soon, just have to measure a few more times before I cut the 5" hole for the power pipe
IMG_1448Large.jpg

can't use my mark8 fan anymore with the 12-rib procharger belt setup, a stock clutch fan barely fits, I had to trim the stock shroud, probably because of my radiator being larger.

Glad you said you were mounting the filter in the fenderwell, had me going whaaaaaaaaaat? Looks good, from one procharger owner to another, you will really enjoy the boost. One thing tho, if you can't see the intercooler, it isn't getting airflow and isn't doing a darn thing. Just thought I would throw that in there. Plus, it's not like people can't here the blower when the car's running, lol, so it's not a sleeper.
