AM CAI

[97 Hitman V6]

i seen alot of cai painted before. i wanna paint my chrome AM CAI black because im not really into all the chrome under the hood. i want like all my HP adders black, how would i go of painting the cai black ? Any pics of it? Thx

Mine started as chrome, I painted it metallic black with red flames

All I did was scuff it good with a scotch brite pad, primed, painted, cleared

Yeah i seen urs around and i like the black under the hood instead of chrome. to me it look's like a clean engine and stands out more then chrome. ima prob do this, this weekend if it doesnt rain. Thx

THey make some neat candy paints that you can use on top of the chrome to make it look cool.

If you do not use those, you will need to start by scuffing it a litle to give the paint something to grab. I think scotchbright is commonly recomended, then primer and paint.
