Okay, when it says for example 130 watts RMS x 2 does that mean that amp will only power 2 speakers at a time? Also I just got a Kenwood headunit yesterday and installed it too, the clarity is 10x better than my stock headunit but when I'm driving it lacks bass when I sit still though it thumps pretty hard (for stock speakers anyway). When I installed the headunit I used Quick Splices do you think that the Quick splices are holding back my bass or is it all my stock speakers?

I think I can help......
The amp says 130watts x2....that means each chanel pushes 130 watts = 260watts. To better help you, I need to know what stereo(model number) and amp(model and brand) you have. I also need to know what yer plans are for the system. It sounds better when yer stopped because ther isn't any road noise and vibration interfering with the sound waves. Even if you upgrade to a better speaker, it won't sound any better unless you put some dynamat in and deaden the doors. For a basic instal I'd sugest you grab a door kit off ebay....maybe 2 kits. If it was me, I'd get a couple of the bulk packs and cover both doors. You'd have enogh to do the headliner also at that point. Adds a bit of weight but quiets the inside of the car tremendously. There is a spray on product called Second Skin that works perfect on doors. 12V (car audio) is my forte and addiction......

Speakers will be a huge upgrade over stock. Your head likely has much better treble response and that makes you think it lacks bass. Obviously for serious bass, a dedicated sub amp/speaker is needed, but you can do a lot with just good speakers and avoid a lot of hassle and thieve magnet problems. 130watts x 2 = this is at a defined ohm rating. Adding speakers in series / parallel can be done and maintain the appropriate impedance level, however typically one speaker sounds better per amp channel, or having them split passively to component (low/mid, high). Amps are pretty cheap, if you like sound get one that works for you and that will add a lot of beef to the sound.

I have to disagree with ya on that alittle. Cheap amps are cheap. Good amps can get expensive in a hurry. I like the JL slash series, Alpine digital "small footprint" and the Rockford amps for the mainstream lines. It depends on what yer looking for I guess and what yer willing to spend. As with anything.....You get what ya pay for. I have amps from 1995 that I paid a fortune for and they are still in 100% working order.
