Ok so I went through a rebuild on my 95 cobra and it took me a lot longer than it should have, everything seems to be back in its right full place but I seem to still be having problems with the starter

Ive replaced the starter

checked the relay

Checked my main ground to motor mount

Are there any more grounds I should be concerned about? Any other possibilities it can be? Im at a loss right now and any help would be greatly appreciated from you guys,

thank you
-Sam

Ive been messing with it again for a little while and thought that I would add that it makes a couple clicking noises when I turn the key and when I let the key off

It's a brand new battery and I know they can be faulty so ill try and charge it tonight just to double check but its done this with other batteries including an optima I had, but it doesn't hurt to try!

did you get the right flywheel/flexplate?

is it making click sounds (like a dead battery) or is it making grinding sounds or something?

If you dont have long tube headers, I'd suggest taking it out and making sure your scatter-shield, engine, and bell housing are all mating up properly.

maybe if its out, just buy a cheep-o one from autozone and replace it. if it works, the starter was the problem. if it doesnt work, return the starter for a refund and continue troubleshooting.
