i know that it is kind of a vague question but here it is anyways. the other day i noticed my anti-lock light was on. i tried reading up on it at work and in the haynes repair book which wasn't any help at all. the book just says to take it to a shop. lol but back to the point i look at my wheel speed sensor and checked the wires running to them and everything looks fine. on the other hand tho i did find a a vacuum line running off the intake manifold that was disconnected. i fixed that small problem but havent ran the car sense. my question is.....is there anyway to check the speed sensors with a volt meter or anything? i would hate to buy new ones if that wasn't the problem, after all they are pretty pricey. the other question that i was going to ask is do you guys think that the vacuum line i found disconnected could be related to why the anti-lock light came on?

I doubt it was the vac line. I could be wrong though. There is a way to test the ABS just like the CEL codes and then you can look up the codes. I will try and find the site for you. I hope someone else posts also to give you more info though.

I cant find it. I think it was bookmarked on my other computer I can get it tomorrow. It was basically just like doing the CEL you would jump the plug with a paper clip or wire and it would blink on the dash and do codes from there.

As far as I know, the guy just hooked mine up to a hand held computer thing. Sorry, I am very dumb now. It showed a bad ABS and Air Bag Sensor. My Air Bag light still is flashing.

you should be able to get it with the OBDI scanner, autozone may be able to tell you what it is with their free scan tool, most likely its a ABS sensor or something of that nature, also recheck the wiring going to them cause the slightest knick will cause the light to be on
