I had 2 diff sets of side exhaust on mine. 1st I had racing mufflers to my custom made tips. It sounded a little raspy, but I liked it! 2nd was the SVO Skirts and the Borla Mufflers. I was nice, just not loud enough for me. I went back to the racing mufflers. You just don't have a lot of room to use, to do it right. That's why I used the racing ones. I think they were about 4-5" long. I tried using 40 Series Flows. Would not fit though. The Borlas were great because the inlet and the outlet is on the same end. No one else, I found, makes them like that any longer. Flows do in like an 80 Series, or something. They are used on camaros and firebirds though! Hope this helped!

Mines a 95 GT, too!

I have a dynamax side exhaust kit for mine it's not loud enough for me but I have decided to get cut outs so I can have loud and quiet. Plus when you're on the cell you can hush your car up, and it is good for the cops that are bored and want to hate on us... :thumb:

Are you looking for the whole cat back or just some mufflers to have fab'ed up?

I say go with a set of spintechs

I think my spintechs sound much cleaner but not any quieter then the old 40's, but that could just be me :dunno:. ill try and get a sound clip this weekend with some pics.

The mufflers are Sportsman split case #333SCS $115 Each

The catback is #SX61000. i got mine for $485 Shipped off ebay, but If you want the SVO or "Cobra R" style tips and not the flat ones it's an extra $80.

I had those same Borlas on my '95 5.0. It sounded nothing like that clip!! I would not be selling it if it did. It only sounded really good @ WOT. Mine has no cats, either. Yeah, that sound is way off.

This is what I have on my car. You can use the stock hanger location in the back but you would need to weld it and the tips on it. I like the sound of them, but they were a little louder than I liked without cats on it. A descent exhaust shop could knock it out in no time. I also added an electronic cut out that opens the intake of the muffler to the exhaust so it bypasses the muffler but uses the same tip.

you don't need it and really you don't want it if performance is your end goal. With the entrance and exit on the same side I have been told it can cause a restriction. It just makes it easier for mounting since you can use the stock hanger/location so you don't need anything custom fabbed.
