sweet man you restored this car are you saying?

yea everyone should put their name in their sig!

whoa, no I haven't restored this car (just a set of cobra headlights)... this car was pretty well mint when I bought it. I bought the car on ebay, it had 43k on it and was supposed to be in "showroom" condition. When it got to my doorstep it was just that, and bone stock, exactly what I wanted in another mustang after I totalled my 98.

awesome Clay. thanks man. i know i dont know everyones name, just the people I associate with a lot i like to know their names.

and i can also tell your a photoshop guru guy. i see the little "Thorco" smoke letters and glowed borders and the angles you shoot your car at. all your pictures look awesome man. maybe you can give me some advice on cool stuff you do on photoshop. i love learning more and more about photoshop.

and also, are the headlights you have blueoval headlights? i haven't looked at them closely.. ill go look at the pics again after i submit this but my blueoval headlights are in very bad shape.. i dont know if its safe to sand them or not because the lenses are tinted i think.. there are like all these little tiny tiny scratches on it (looks like the tint is cracking..) looks terrible. i dont know how to restore the lights though.

could you maybe tell me what you did to yours and if they can be done to mine? (i dont know if they are tinted on the outside or not...)

that's a good question bro... I'm not sure about the smoked lights. My smoked headlights are still in really good shape. (they didn't come from BOI, but they are still the exact same headlights... I'm sure they are all made by the same kid in some 3rd world country... :comando: they are just sold by different companies.) mine came from ebay. anyways, the headlights that I have been working on are stock cobra headlights. It wouldn't hurt to try and sand on them a little, I believe the entire lens is smoked, I dont' think it is just a tint job or a coating on them or anything so you should be alright to sand on them a little. Depending on how rough they are you probably wouldn't need much.

I'll post up some pictures of those headlights tomorrow or something... but right now I need to get some sleep. I went to our local river boat (casino aztar) and hung out with some friends tonight and I'm just dead tired.

I could run out to the shop and snap a couple... but it's not much to look at. the holes have all been filled and it's been hit with some primer, but there were some high spots. after a little more work it will be ready for paint... I'd love to fill in the license plate ring like you did too... just dunno if we want to mess with it.

Damn man u did some awesome work on that headlight. Glad to see it came out so good. O0

that's actually not even the final stage. I took the headlight to the buffing wheel for the final step and applied way too much pressure (I'm used to polishing metals). I put a nasty burn mark right in the middle of the headlight, so it's going to have to be sanded back down and taken through the whole process again. hopefully it's not too deep and I can get it all out , but other than that the headlight looks new again

So why are you getting rid of your smoked headlights? I think they look awesome on your car.

Anyway, It's nice to know your name Clay, my name is Craig...in case you ever wondered.

Oh, here's a little teaser of what your car will look like more or less, minus the cobra bumper and with your BBS wheels.

haha, yeah I have two of those pictures saved on my computer craig :drunk:. I like the smoked headlights and won't be getting rid of them. I've just always liked the cobra headlights and wanted a set to add to my collection of spare parts. This way I can swap them out at anytime for something a little different.

Haha,really?!?!? That's really cool. I'm very flattered.

I'm changing the car up pretty soon, and it sounds like we will have a pretty similar look. I can't wait to get some new pics of my car and see new ones of yours.

Plans sound good man, you'll like the hood  imo though I'd keep the spoiler.

well, I will still have this decklid so if I ever decide to change it up I can. I'm a big fan of wingless cars and my car is a GTS so it's basically against the law for it to have a wing :hammer:
