Re: Back in a snive
Update. Less then a day since I bought it. Car needed inner tie rods on it.. so I went and put new inners and outers since I was already there. Needed a new battery cable end, so I went on about my way to do that. Found out that the cable was full of corrosion all the way to the starter. Had some taylor wire 0 gauge on the shelf so I put that in, redid a couple other heavy gauge important wires on the whole car. Also installed an optima red top. Starts up without hesitation and battery gauge reads correctly now.
While I was working on the car this morning I noticed some random stupid ghetto wires under the hood. Come to find out the car had a viper system installed on it at some point. Pulling the loosely bolted knee plate and trim from under the steering wheel resulted in me finding about 10 different relays and boxes all wired horrible. So I ripped all of that our, redid all the wiring correctly, fixed it all, and chased down each individually ran ghetto wire. Thats done and over now. About 10lbs of copper, the picture I have of it all is when I first started.
The interior was a mess. The seats are toast, the carpets nasty, the dash is cracked, and the door panels are trash. So I made the best of it while doing the wiring stuff and cleaned it up. Good news, I had a spare set of corbeau GT7's in the shop.
While doing the wiring I also found this. Could easily be a fire. New pigtail kit from my old man at work fixed it.
And since I like black wheels I had these sitting around. Looks better then tri-bars anyday.
Now all I need is a FRPP quadrant kit, a shifter, some exhaust, and tint. Then I'll be in business.
