I agree. I think Ford had it down perfect with the 94-96 cloth. I need to rebuild the seat foam on my driver's side, and I keep thinking I'll go to leather. Then I just open my eyes sometimes and see how cool that fabric looks, and I change my mind back.

I think I may just keep my gray cloth GT seats, and restuff the new foam in there (after throwing the fabric in the washing machine).

I also think they had it right with the seats adj bolster/lumbar which is why I am just going to have mine recovered.
