Hey y'all i've always wanted to do one of these build threads. I have a 1998 Crystal White Gt with 185k miles and was purchased back in 2010. This is going to be long so i'm going to space this out over a week or two.
I had a 1998.5 SVT Contour I drove to H.S. my Jr. year and beginning summer 2010 I got the gt.
I got a job at a dealership so id be able to afford (haha kinda) my mustang.
Here's a pic of the csvt and mustang when we bought it:

We sold the csvt and I was a little sad, but i've always wanted a mustang all my life, as my father had a couple & and his father before him had a couple. First things first when we got it the grill and hood scoop had to come off. We had to replace the clutch, motor mounts, and while we were at it, put a pypes off-road x on her. We got a Ram clutch, and some poly mounts and to this day are still in.

That summer we went to Mustang Week, which is like heaven on earth for those of you that haven't been, and picked up these:

I also purchased a Pro 5.0 short throw for 80 bucks

Next post will be on to the suspension!

Thanks guys, the first post was barely getting into it!

Update #2

The last day of MW2010 I picked up these for a whopping $260:

These came off a wrecked 95 cobra. Got spindles, dust shields, machined rotors and calipers with pads with 5mm of pad left. After I got home from MW I picked up some 3.73 gears, FRPP carbon clutches for my rearend, Kyb shocks and struts, and some tubular upper and lower control arms. Also picked up some MM c/c plates and Stainless steel braided brakelines.

I didn't touch the car until November of Sr. year. That month it all went down. We pulled the whole suspension off save the K-member. Here's a pick of the rear getting pulled and some new suspension pics:

Once we got the suspension on and the brakes, we got the rearend back from my buddy who built it and put It back up in there:

Then here's the last pic of the update:
We got everything together and down on some jack stands and ramps to settle the suspension.

There's most of the build, but still far from done. Y'all have fun reading!

Time for update #3! We let the suspension settle for a few days then sat her on the ground:

Then we had to do what every sn95 owner dreads.... pull the dash to get to the heater core:(

After 2 days and approx. 5-6 hours of working and figuring out how to do it we got her done. The next step was to paint the hood. I bought a stock hood from one of my buddies and painted it black:

After paint we installed hoodpins:)

We got her back on the road early december of Sr. year and even though she still looked a lil rough, I broke necks everywhere. The stang came a long way from the start, but far from the finish.

After we got her back on the road in December we bought some 17x9 AFS Cobra R's of Clist for 200 bucks:

Then, the worse happend. On the way to work one day one of my buddies had been wanting to race me forever with his 95 Trans am. I was like heck no and he did a 100 mph fly by in a corner, which it was raining, and spun out and wrecked the car and slung a battery out of a car he hit and it centered my hood, grill, and bumper:

I got some money off of insurance and bought a Cobra front bumper, and a 95 Cobra R 3 inch cowl hood, and replaced the pony in the grill:

We got that together in a couple weeks. I was glad the battery didnt explode or hit my windshield. It would have been really bad. Hope y'all enjoy the story.

Yes flying battery. If I knew it I would have it on video. It flew 2 lanes and bounced the last 2 and I didn't know where it was going to go so all I could do is watch and wave. I hit it at 35 mph and slowing down. After the impact i watched my buddy as it was over sitting on the back of the car as he had come out the back glass because he busted it with his head. He was ok though so thats all that mattered. He now has a 99 Cobra.

Ferocious I guess there are some people in this world who thing they can do anything I guess. I just knew by simple physics he was screwed.

And thanks guy's there's still a lil to go;)
