Looking to buy a hood for the cobra, and I dont want to break the bank. any opinions on where to get a nice fitting well made hood without spending 495.00 + 110 shipping? I Know from experience that Liberty fiberglass is not right for me. there fitment is not very good in my opinion.

Hope alot of you guys chime in. im def. going to pull the trigger on a hood this spring. I just dont know what co. to go with.
Thanks, Mark.

what style hood do you want? Mine is HO Fibertrends, they made the Cobra R hoods for Ford. It's not finished as nice as Cervinis but it fits good and has a steel latch.

ps 10,000 ^_^

Well im thinking of either 95R or 2000R. I have been checking c-list twice a day. so Onyx I see you have no pins. So on a "closed coarse" when over 100 mph does the hood seem factory safe?
If you dont mind me asking, about how much did you pay? and where did you get it from?

Find one used? If you're close to Kansas I have a Cervini's 95R with hood struts for $325.

Talk to this guy:
http://www.bossincstyle.com/bjr98.html

I had the wide cowl(boss pro cowl) on my fox and it was beautiful out of the box. Finished underside and factory style latch. I'll order again from him if I ever need one. I litterally bolted it on and had to do some slight modifying to the back of the latch to mate up and it fit better than the stock hood. I think my core support was tweaked a small amount(1/8"ish) so the latch gave me a little trouble but otherwise no complaints, and it was extremely light for being double sided.
I got mine for about $350 shipped by greyhound.

I don't run hood pins cause of the steel latch, it closes tight. It's also an OEM R hood and obviously none of the R's had hood pins. I don't recall how fast I've driven with this hood but it's at least been 100mph and the hood seems solid.

mine is a Kaenan and the quality is great although I have also heard Fibertrends makes a good hood also like everyone is saying
