Is the braking power substantially better than the typical cobra swap? I have 18'' s197 fanblades on my car so this should fit, but if the braking difference over the cobras that I have is insignificant then I may not worry about it.

Yes, a few reasons
- Lager piston diameter (more clamping force)
- Larger pad size (heat dissipation, distributes force)
- Larger rotor (more leverage, heat dissipation)

Brett would be happy to elaborate i'm sure

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll definitely keep you guys in mind next time I have to do brakes. Do you have to change the master cylinder?

You don't have to, it'll work fine. The result will be a shorter stroke and firmer pedal feel using the stock master cylinder. (MC) The Cobra MC allows for a longer, softer stroke while accomplishing the same task.. Purely speculating here but perhaps the quick/firm pedal would be less predictable entering into a fast corner while braking (such as your favorite back road chicane or even an interstate exit ramp) than the longer/softer pedal

Correct me if I'm wrong

YMMV

Not changing the MC will be a soft pedal all the way to lockup. You 'can' modulate, but it's difficult. Street driving probably just fine. Track, I wouldn't recommend it.

Did we ever get any info if oem brembos fit with this kit? I must have missed it, but what offset is required for this... does it require s197 wheels??

If yall produce a kit that uses sn95 spec wheels and oem s197 brembos (gt500 or brembo package) I have cash in hand! I can even do some testing for yall..
