Got a 1996 Pacific Green GT Vert. with a black top and Anthricite Bullitts. Looking for suggestions on brake details, mostly colors on calipers, backing/dust plates. I already have some R1 Drilled and Slotted Rotors with the zinc plating. I am kinda' thinking I would like the calipers dark gray/cast iron natural color.

Also, does anyone have pics of what the wheel well/brakes originally looked like on a bone stock 1996, and a 2000'ish GT with the Bullitt wheels. I have been around old Vettes all my life (41) and sorta am influenced to keep it looking very "clean" and mostly stock in terms of finish.

My car is just a nice lower mileage used car that needs a little love on the undrecarriage. I am trying to pace myself and do a little at a time to get it cleaned up and detailed (on a budget). I want a trouble free, nice lookin' summer car for my wife and I. Actaully this car was everything I didn't want.....wanted a Coupe (hoping to find a Mystic Cobra or 95 Cobra), 5 Spd., and not green. BUT.......It was such a good deal I couldn't pass, now I just gotta make it nice enough to satisfy my detailed (anal) personality.

id suggest getting brake caliper paint and going red, that would be a good throwback to your vette days... i suggest using a can of brake clean on the rotors and brake dust sheilds to try and bring some luster back.

as for the wheels, i suggest Miguires All Wheel Cleaner (pink spray bottle) apply it with the spray bottle, then use a soft sponge to whipe off the crud. rinse clean, repeat if desired. i also suggest some black acorn lugnuts. i think they will make the wheels appear a little more "depth-y" epsecially when the car is moving.

Here is the stock sized setup with PowerStop zinc rotors and pads, sanded and painted the dust shields with high temp black/clear. I went with brand new fender liners and black high temp painted calipers w/clear:
