Right before I was leaving for some amazing street racing I went ahead and did a john force burnout and then turned off the car .. I start talking with the guys and look over and see coolant coming from the bottom of my car (not much just a little) so I take it back to my friends shop and sure enough i broke a ARP head bolt off like nothing .. Crazy huh?

So I'm going to pull the heads off this week and install new head gaskets and ARP studs and hope the heads done lift up again ..

But the car drives perfect there is no water in the oil and it does not smoke its the last bolt on the passenger side so I think its the water jacket leaking but I did not blow a head gasket I dont think..

Have you ever seen anyone break a ARP bolt before ???

Ya I dont think I busted a head gasket because the car is not smoking and no water in oil or oil in water so I think I just busted the bolt????

Also I hope I did not warp my head or something like that ?

Also should I pull the heads and have them shaved down a little ??

if your pulling the heads and have the time/money, I would have them decked just to make sure there isnt any warpage. but just enough to

A. clean the mating surface of grime/headgasket crap
B. get ride of any warpage (if any)

i have had the same issue, under high boost the heads will lift, there will be no mixes or problems till it over heats. a tell tell sign is boost in the coolant system

Well when you pull the heads id get them checked but I doubt you warped them but it's goood insurance to have the shop check them over. If the waters not mixing you prolly didn't blow the head gasket.sucks you gotta pull the top end off now tho

I hate broken bolts..... Hate getting them out even more........... Those back-out bits get expensive and are not always that great....

I can't help but wonder if they were tightened down correctly to pop just the one off. And after that one popped I can't help but wonder how badly it stressed the other bolts to wonder if you will get them out with out breaking another.

Head studs are awesome but sucks trying to get the drivers side head on. I had to take some of mine out to get the head on b/c the brake booster gets in the way.
