bug bite

So about 2weeks ago I traded my lil civic for the 95 mustang gt I got now. Yesterday I was sitting in traffic and boom! The sn95 cooling bug bit me. Radiator let go on me. What the hell, its all good. Luckily I was 3 blocks from a local mustang performance shop where they had a couple laying around. Just had to vent

The fan has two speeds on it? Forgive my ignorance but I didnt know that. How do I check the two different speeds?

the a/c will force the high speed fan to come on

when you plug in to pull codes, one of the first things you'll hear when the key is turned is the fan on at low speed then hi speed.

Ooh ok. Well in that case fans working properly. Lol. Im even putting a new water pump\t-stat on it. I been looking at the w\p's summit racing has all morning

Read up on installing a fox body water pump. They are higher volume and flow more for less money. Worked for me.

Makes sense. Foxbody's had to deal with the mechanical fan as well. I put a FlowKooler on mine.

hmm, I was remembering the fox having a different bolt pattern? maybe I'm getting that mixed up w/ a truck...

I'm running a Town Car water pump on my 351 because I needed one that spun the same direction as the crank for my belt set up. but I had to switch front covers, cant remember if it was to Fox or to Truck, but make sure you check that before you buy it.

YEa the fox conversion really works, the only other thing you need is the timing cover. But it all bolts up the same, remember a 5.0 is a 5.0 no matter what year.

i thought the pulley for the fox belt stuck out further then our sn95's. or is that difference made up on the different timing cover?
