ok i just bought a 90 mustang machined short block with factory trw forged pistons an im putting gt40p heads an a typhoon intake.
my first question is that how much compression would i have with this?
how do i indefily if the crank has a place for a pilot bearing?
How much lift can stock gt40p heads handle?(i heard .500" but i wanna make sure)
Also what do you guys recommend for a cam? im looking at steeda 19 but i will be spraying the motor but i dont know if the steeda 19 cam is good for spray

Compression ps will vary depending on the compression of the motor. (whether the heads are decked, block is decked, etc.) I wouldn't be able to reasonably guesstimate it.

If it's an OEM crank, it should have a provision for a pilot bearing.

Lift is only one component of piston-to-valve clearance, as valve events are more critical.

Steeda 19 is a good all-around performer. Cams with tighter LSA (e.g. 110-112) will typically respond well to nitrous, but at the cost of idle quality. An F-cam is a suprisingly good nitrous cam.

Paul.
