I have found a pretty good deal on an 01 Bullitt, I am just curious of the differences on them and GT's? I know the paint, seats and gauges are different, but what else?

^ Lol, silly goose. Mach's had the 4 valve, not bullitts.

Ryan got it, I was being a little less descriptive ;p

They also have the different side skirt end cap with a little mud flap. Those things can't be bought new anymore and typically sell for a huge chunk of change.

Ok, I knew they were just a 2valve but figured their were several differences power wise. Ive found an 01 with 49k miles pretty cheap..I may try to get it if I can afford it.. Thanks everybody

The power differene is in the manifolds. if you look them up you will see the diff in hp rating. to me the bullitt does flow better but the weight in my opinion isnt worth the gain.

its easy to think that given they share a similar appearing intake and the fact that the Mach 1 was a 4v.

Wrong.

I stand corrected
I always thought the Bullitt motor was the same as the Cobra's
Mach 1 motor is basically the same as cobra motor without forged internals/has a higher compression, 10:1 and the cobra is like 8:5 for boost of course.

The Bullitt also features unique pulleys, but in all with the intake its like a 5rwhp gain. Idk, there is alot more torque feel compared to a GT ive been told. I dont see it...

But it is a unique car

Peak for peak, it's only around 5hp, but it makes much more under the peak than the GT. If you drive a stock GT and then a stock Bullitt it feels like 40hp difference, but only because of where it makes power. The Bullitt is just a better overall car. I've owned both. It accelerates better, looks better, handles better, stops better and is more comfortable than a GT.

The intake manifold really shines once you start adding power. You get more gains from everything that the typical GT owner without having to upgrade the intake/plenum/throttle body. The intake is overkill, but that really helps you as you start modding.

i have never been in a stock GT 5 speed so compared to my 01, i couldnt notice the feel lol. But I must say it handles better than any mustang ive ever owned (have or had 3) or driven (many many many). I love the tokicos.

If its a good price then buy it. Thats really low miles and the good thing with the bullitt is many of the little things are done already like brakes and suspension etc. Slap a turbo on it and be done.

Never noticed the different side skirts, I prefer the Bullitt's C pillars though because they line up with the side scoops.
