After putting my intake on a few weekends ago, I'm picking up some heads soon to complete my h/c/i swap! (whooot :headbang:) I came across a professional products 75mm throttle body for 100 on craigs and was wondering if this would be a good buy or not? I've read mixed reviews about them through searches but what is the general consensus on them? Thanks guys!

Are you running bigger injectors? My buddy was telling me that it'll run like dog shit because it's taking in more air than what it is tuned for...

Their intake is a ghetto version of the Edelbrock Performer RPM and needs cleaning up if you want a good manifold.

You get what you pay for...it's chinese made.

The only thing I have ever used from them is their balancer that seems to be just fine.

A lot of people complain that they hear a whistle with it because it does not close completely. :dontknow:

Your buddy is wrong, it'll run fine once you adjust the idle and everything. Usually it's the BBK ones that whistle, mine is silent but I did have to adjust the stop screw cause it was closing too much and getting stuck. They might be made cheaper than the others, maybe, but I had to buy it cause where else am I gonna get a polished TB for $140 lol.

You said earlier about having issues making it fix? Explain?

one of the bolt holes wasn't exactly where it should be so i had to bore it out a little with a drill bit.

Just leave the bottom one loose and only tighten the top one

I bought mine from a guy on here(75mm PP) and have had 0 issues with it, made me worry something else was wrong lol. But I have had it on for about 3000kms now and no issues at all, works great!

I have a PP polished TB in my stang and it has been just fine. I understant the MAF work differently and I know my tuner said he didn't like them which was enough for me.

So did you have to switch the MAF?

i have a stack racing 75 tb and it has two different whistles. i like it though. its an easy install, the tps does have two bolts and the bottom one is a little bit harder to get to, but dont leave it loose. wot will make it move and throw off your tps settings. put it together leaving the set screws a little loose and set your voltage to .98 with the middle wire, take the whole tb back being careful not to move the tps. take the tps off and tighten the upper and lower screws. put it back together and recheck your voltage. if it has moved just loosen the top one and adjust, it should be enough to line it out. a tb is a tb, its just a peice of pipe with a butterfly valve. not to much to screw up there!

Welpp i put it on saturday, and let me say the throttle response is great! So much quicker response when hitting it. I believe the tps does need to be adjusted/replaced because it has a minor idle surge and real bad hanging idle right around 1500rpms it likes to stay at when slowing down but not inbetween shifts
