I have never done one. Guys at work giving me a hard time. Screw them i buy the tires.
Anyhow i have a 95 gt with a cai,3:53 gears, lowered and thats about it.

Will she burn them. Its a manual so i guesse dump it in first and step on the brake. I dont want to break anything and still hold my
chin up high when i leave work:)

yeah dude she will burn em all day. dump it then step on the brake. and let the tires spin but watch your rpm's you dont want to hit the rev limiter and look like a dummy that drive a honda.... lol and with your mods there is no way you will hurt any thing but your tires. good luck

Power doesn't break things, traction does. Once they break loose the only thing you're hurting is your tires (and some brake pads).

Also, taking your foot off the clutch and on to the brake is hard to do quickly, and can make a burnout look sloppy. I like to heel-toe it -- the heel of my right foot on the brake and my toe on the throttle -- atleast to get it started.

im super conservative with my burnouts. i rarely let them get above 5k rpms on the stand. i also go from 2nd tho.
my personal method: floor it and dump the clutch before your RPMs get too high, hit the brake quick with your left foot quick, and adjust your gas foot as needed to get the tach right where you want it. also dont slam the brakes. touch them just enough so the car doesnt move
youll be fryin tires in no time

So you goose it and dump the clutch all while in second. That right there is a way to break something. I think that method is more meant for higher HP cars.

I have 4.10s and usually do my burnouts in second. I don't slam it into second mid-burnout though, I start in second with it rolling a little bit and get on the brake after it starts spinning. Doesn't take much to make them spin in 2nd with 4.10s though.

just practice a couple of times before you do it at work. just some little short ones to get the feel of it. then go show em' what you got. im pretty much the same way though. i dont feel the need to burn off expensive rubber just to proove my car is capable or so people can say hey thats cool. i save mine for the track, and i keep em short. just enough to get em sticky. I dont understand the point of all these retards on youtube doing 3 min long burnouts. i mean... whats the point, okay you got em spinnin', we see that, cool.. the only exception, which i have never personally done, is to "retire" the tires.. go get em man.

Same here, I don't feel the need to spin or do a burnout with my car to prove how fast it is, I'm pretty sure the sound is enough to scare people most days lol.

I did it. Reved it up to 3500 and drop the clutch. She just sat there and smoked up about 6 feet. Didnt step on the brake. I dont want to kill the tires in this recession:)

I have had my Cobra for 6 years and have only done 1 burnout. Tires are to friggin expensive to burn up.
