I found some on 50resto I kind of like. My options are getting it in chrome or black though! I'm trying to get the brushed alum look so far. Is there anyway I can make that chromes brushed looking? Let me reword that! I've got a Dremel, maybe that can get that look?

They are aluminum so I guess if you got all the chrome off you could make it look brushed, not sure on the procedure though.

Re: CAI kit...

I asked Dremel, here's their replies:

Our polishing accessories will bring metal type products to a great luster and not a brushed appearance. Sorry we are unable to be of better assistance. If there is anything else we can help with please let us know.

I asked about the wire brush thing:

We would agree that any of the wire brushes will change the appearance of the metal. We would encourage getting one and trying on scrap to understand what it does. In our opinion it will scratch the metal- not make a brushed appearance.

Re: CAI kit...

it would be better it the tube is alumnium but start start with the least agressive first like red scotchbrite pad or steel wool then to maybe 600 grit paper then to 400 . you can always get more agressive with it but it would be hard to take out the deep scratches out if you go to deep . I wouldn't use a power tool to do it (to hard to keep the lines going straight) but it sounds like a good look

Re: CAI kit...

That sounds the best way to go. Thanks!

I bought a kit off of Ebay that is chromed. They were supposed to send blue and they sent red. I hate that red! I may test on that one. It looks like even though I sent it all back to be exchanged, they are not going to send it back. It was only $40. I'm still thinking about what I want! Thanks!!

I sent all the connectors and filter back that day. All I have now is the metal pieces. I'll just buy a new one! This time I'll specify I want blue. I'm still gonna try to make it brushed finish.

Instead of just bending over get that guy on the phone and ream him out and tell him you want the correct pieces that you originally bought. You shouldn't have to buy another intake.

I cannot remember which seller I bought it off of on Ebay though! It's just $40. I'm just a very laid back guy after my injury! It's either being this way or I have a huge rage problem! So bad I cannot control myself. That why I say, 'Oh well!'

I had my buddy buy them so he could use his PayPal. It's really no big deal to buy a new one though. I'm on no rush either. Thanks!!
