Can clutch engage point be adjusted?

My old clutch cable was really stiff which led me to believe it was stretched out and needed to be replaced. So I bought and installed an MM piece with the aluminum quadrant and firewall adjuster. The pedal feel is super light now, my only issue is my clutch engages when it's almost all the way out. I can probably say 1/8th of the way out. Is there a way of adjusting the engage point of the clutch? Or should I get used to it?

mine is like this too, but i havent changed anything.

you should be able to adjust it by pulling up on the pedal then push it in and out a bunch with your foot.

sorry if thats worded bad and sounds f'ed up

Lifting the clutch pedal back towards you until it snaps is the common practice for stock setups. Just like when you're looking at videos on the internet late at night, you have to give it a pretty firm tug. After replacing my clutch I did not have to do it, but after replacing my transmission for some reason I did. On aftermarket pieces I have no idea.

He has a MM alum quadrant, this will do nothing.

Unfortunately your only option would be to change to a double or triple hook quadrant

I guess I'll just get used to it then, thanx everyone for the input. For Anyone that has a super stiff clutch pedal I would highly recommend this kit. For a very long time I thought all mustangs felt this way.

I'm all for lightening my pedal a little bit and I should probably get a quadrant and firewall adjuster, just so i'm looking at the right thing can you post a link to what you got?

I have the MM fwa and I'm not all that thrilled with it. Seems to need adjusting more often then my old UPR fwa which needed none since it used a set screw. If I can get me hands on an old Fiore fwa I would be all over it (I have a Fiore quadrant and really like it).
Edit: Damn looks like they are still making Fiore kits, http://www.lethalperformance.com/03-04-svt-cobra-transmission-adjusters-c-16_286_289/fiore-96-04-micro-click-firewall-adj-clutch-quadrant-kit-p-10314
Hands down the best on the market.

I had never heard of the fiore ones. I'm quite happy with the MM, it just took me a little bit to get used to the feel. I played around with the adjuster and now it engages about halfway out and as long as my foot is nowhere near the pedal my TOB doesn't squeak.
