Can somebody answer my question about exhaust?

Why when im cruising with a O/r H and Macs/flows/lm1 or whatever combo my cruise is Stock SLIENT unless i purposely make it loud.

But when i hear a Cobra cruise by they have an ALWAYS loud exhaust while cruising.

Is this only specific to the cobra engine? Or does the 99+ GT's have this ability without modding the engine?

I always hated this.

hmmm, maybe your car sounds like that too you just don't notice because you're inside it, running an o/r H and macs/flows should sound pretty good, removing cats obviously helps as well, I know my 95 sounds nasty when it passes but my side dumps help

Im not sure really. Havent drove that car in over 6 months.. R.I.P. Was just wondering before i make this decision. I seen a sn95 4.6 Cobra today just cruising and it was loud. He wasnt romping on it .. it was just loud. I seen an 01 Cobra just cruising and it was loud.. once again not romping.

But when im cruising its quiet. I really wish i got to test out my Ford PI intake on my 97GT... maybe that wouldve changed.

I had SLP lm1's on it with a mac catted H and it was quiet @ cruise. I wish i still had the sound clips, but the website i used for storage just went away out of nowhere.

my friend's 99 cobra is insanely loud when he drives around, but it was damn silent when i rode in it and we got on the interstate

Whats the exhaust on the cobra? I have O/R X and magnapacks...its LOUD. I think im going to try and pick up a catted H pipe this summer to chill it out a bit(so i can drive highway) and I want to try an H pipe

I never had a O/R H and SLP Lm1's.. i had mac catted H and LM1's.

My o/r h setup was flows 40's and mac flowpaths...

It really didnt matter what setup i got. My cruise was always quiet from what i heard on the inside.. unless i purposely made the car loud.

Even in my video @ 50 seconds.. dfasdfadasdasd

thats me accelerating and it sounds pretty loud, but once i get off.. it goes back quiet. When i keep hearing cobra's going with the flow of traffic with a loud exhaust.

oh well you listed LM1 in your first post so i assumed you tried them. Just because it's not as loud on the inside doesn't mean its not still loud outside the car, I can pretty much guarantee you that it's still pretty loud behind the car even if it doesn't sound like it.

I agree with everyone else, "your" car sounds way quiet from inside which is fine by me!
