1) Polishing water etching out of glass?

2) Rock chip touchups? (and i mean real rock chip touch ups where you prep and sand a little bit, not just dabbing the chips with paint which is what ive always done)

1) buy glass polishing pads from autogeek.net. Usually people recommend that you clay first, IPA wipedown wouldn't hurt, then polish. Seal with wolfs chemicals glass sealant. I would do this, but I'm broke.

I would do a tutorial but im pretty sure there has been many of those rock chip touch up tutorials done and a place like autopia would ahve good ones.

You wanna fill in the chip a few times, let it dry, wet sand it down wtih 1500/2000 grit and then polish over it in an attempt to smoothly blend the chip.

Ive done it a few times, its time consuming but can be done pretty well if you take your time and know what your doing/ have the right products

I don't like doing rock chip repairs. I think the rock chick actually looks better than most touch ups. If you get one rock chip, youre gonna get more, so just wait till you get more than 5 then repair that panel. Thats what i do lol.

as far as glass polishing, maybe i can make you a video about that..... But its very easy. Medium polish and an orange pad on a porter cable speed 6 should take it right out.

yea i will say that it almost never blends right for whatever reason, especially with a metallic paint.

yeah, i have a rock chip on my car right now....and i feel if I did a "rock chip repair" it would look more obvious that is does as a chip.
