I have the chance to buy one of my friends CCW Classics, 18x11 & 18x9.5. I like them and had those wheels on my car for a few weeks when he was thinking about selling them. I'm not a big fan of the black centers so I would most likely end up getting the centers powder coated a bright silver or polished looking finish.

I really like my current wheels which are American Racing LeMans 17x11 &17x9.5, I don't see anyone with them hardly ever and of course have not been made in over 19 years.

I'm torn between them and need some help deciding what direction I should go.

The CCW's look good but those LeMans wheels look much better IMO. You hardly ever see those wheels. I've been looking for a set for a couple of years now without any luck. If it were me, I'd keep the LeMans. Your car looks absolutely amazing with them.

Hands down stick with the LeMans. The CCW's are nice, but the LeMans are so much more classy looking.

In the end its really up to you but I would go with the classics.

Your car is perfect and some high end wheels would really set it off.

i think the CCWs would look awesome if they weren't black. i love how the polished AR wheels bring out the mystic colors. i never liked mystics with dark wheels. the paint is dark enough, it needs something to lighten it up.

As far as the wheels go, If the CCW's had a silver/grey/anthracite center, I would say they would look better than your current ones, imo. Your current wheels look good and there arent alot of other SN95's running around with them, so thats a plus for them. I think either way, you'll be ok.

I'd also like to tell you that a year ago I decided to sell my 96 GT and look for a low mileage Cobra to buy. I started to scan the net for what I wanted to buy and I saw pics of your car on some site, and that made my decision to find a Mystic to buy. I had been looking for a black, blue or lazer red one. But after seeing yours and a couple others, Mystic became the color I wanted. Thanks for having such a bad ass car, it gave me the vision for what I bought. Feb. 2011 I bought a 23,000 mile 96 Mystic, 99.9% stock, original tires and wheels even. The first week I put on Saleens and BFG's and then put 3.73's in it. Its pretty much exactly what I was looking for.

One question I have. I want to have the hood and nose repainted due to rock chips from previous owner. Is your car completely repainted, or just the hood, spoiler, etc? If you had the paint done, how expensive was it where youre at? Just trying to guess what the damage to my wallet is gonna be.

Somebody PLEASE correct me if i'm wrong but I BELIEVE that his paint isnt BASF mystic, it is a house of kolor mystic?

Thanks for the compliments and glad you could find such a low mileage Mystic, it looks great! As far as the paint, it ain't cheap...I had the entire car repainted since the clear was in rough shape and I needed to replace the pass side fender and hood. I bought the paint from a member on the mystic cobra website. He bought an entire gallon and only used almost a quart. Good thing I saw it for sale when I did since I was actually going to go to the ford dealer to fill out the necessary paperwork to purchase the paint from BASF. The car has about 4 coats of paint which was more than enough. I paid $1100 for the paint itself, I think the complete gallon from BASF runs you about $1600-$1700.

Somebody PLEASE correct me if i'm wrong but I BELIEVE that his paint isnt BASF mystic, it is a house of kolor mystic?
I used house of kolorz when i first sprayed some of the parts that had real bad clear peel. I painted the roof, trunk, rear bumper, and side skirts, it matched ok and many people couldn't tell the difference but I could and so did my painter. I went with that paint bc I wasn't ready to go through the hassle of getting the real deal. The paint on the car now is the real BASF MYSTIC.

Here is a pic showing the front bumper and rear bumper color differences. Rear bumper is done in house of kolorz in this pic. This was when the car was disassembled for the complete repaint.
