changing spark plugs

I know its not a mustang but how hard is it to change spark plug in a 2003 expedition.5.4L

LOL----- Im an expert on this. Ive done it too many times. You will need:

(8) NGK TR55 plugs
7mm socket
3" 3/8 extension
6" 3/8 extension
3/8 rachet
5/8 sprark plug socket
*A lot of patience
*knee pads
*beer
*Whiskey of choice

It is no fun, but easy. Make SURE after you remove the coil packs, blow out each hole with compressed air, otherwise dirt will fall in each cylinder. use anti-seize because these are aluminum heads. Be careful not to cross-thread. these heads have been known to blow the spark plug out of the head.

Im serious. id rather do 3 sets of spark plugs on a 5.0 than 1 on a 5.4

Well i think it needs to done the truck keep acting like it whats to die.Do you guys think if i take to one of the auto parts store it will give me a code what do you guys think.i change the coil packs about 2 weeks ago and it ran fine.I know i should have done the spark plugs then.

Go to the auto parts store and have them run the codes. Be careful, i had a misfire on my #4 cylinder with my 2000 f150 5.4 and it gave a code for a lean fuel mixture on bank #1. If you have any codes, let us know. Regardless, if you haven't changed the plugs in the past couple years, its time. BTW.. always get your coil packs here, you get all 8 for the price of one.

LOL- I had a friend get a quote for new coil packs, and park plugs installed at ford. $800!! lolololololol

Just do it yourself.. its not that bad. you just have to dig in there and do it. I did a full spark plug swap on a 5.4 f150 when i was 12.
