Finally got some time to work on the car, installed my chin spoiler and also an autodim mirror with outside temp and compass display

First the chin

Need to go back and remove the OEM pieces which are under the sides, thought the chin would hide them but it didn't

Cipa Autodim mirror with temp and compass, I wanted this for a long time and finally found one for a decent price

Now to get the car off the waffle wheels, finish up the suspension work and then give it a good paint cleaning/polish/wax

Thanks man, I think I can honestly say I like the mirror with temp better then the chin

I'm sure the chin will grow on me once I have the better wheels and my lowering springs on though

Ebay, first one I have ever seen in working condition for under $100

Of course I needed the model with map lights for the convertible which was harder to find, already pulled the bulbs out and put in LEDs also

nice man. Was it pretty easy to install? Did you have to do anything for the compass n stuff?

Lot of wiring, 3 wires I reused from my OEM harness, had to run a new lead for IGN on 12V power and 2 wires for the temp sensor. I have been really anal about wiring lately so I took the time to heat shrink everything and triple check my routing to be sure nothing could rub. Again keep in mind my car is a convertible so I had wires already running to the existing mirror for the map lights, on a hardtop I am sure the wires would only be ground, IGN power and the two temp wires.

Temp sensor is inside my passenger fender where it gets a good sample of outside air without being hit with direct sun. Compass was simple, set zone (they give a whole map for you to determine your zone) then drive in circles slowly in an empty parking lot like 4-5 times until it calibrated.

awesome thanks for the info, i'd have to find a little something to cover teh wires from the headliner down to the mirror but shouldn't be too bad.

I used heatshrink tubing for mine but am still looking for something else like a small U shaped piece of hard plastic
