Coeifficient Drag, let's discuss!

I was personally there the day the Hennessey GT broke the record.

My boss is great friends with the tuner for that car, Pat from PSI motorsports. (the hands-down god of mod motors)

That car is faster than shit, and it only runs in the low 30s PSI to get a 250 whatever MPH. That car is built for upper 50-60s psi of boost. So expect a small gain each year to break their own set record again and again. The ford GT had much more left in it.

Now as far as drag, sure its bad, but corvettes BLOW in the Texas Mile because of too much down force at high speeds. This is a bigger factor than drag (because new Shelby will wax the "aerodynamic" corvettes with the same hp.


And there is a SN95 who competes in the texas mile. He broke over the 200MPH barrier with a 6.6L(?) duramax diesel engine. Looked pretty sweet but never saw the car in person. Its red.

HOLY **** !! Is their pictures on the net! I knew our sn95's are not bricks in the wind lol.

I have always heard the old superbirds as big as they were had one of the best drag coefficients ever @0.28 a bugatti is around .36 and an f430 is around.33 just for reference.
