Just seeing what your guys opinions are for a new setup for my car. The chassis is already done 6pt cage subframe connectors, tubular k member coilovers blah blah 31 spline axles all that crap .

Now I plan to use the dart block I have already.
I'm just unsure on forced induction or not or just running 2 stages as I planned before. Of course ill tune the hunk of shit myself. It will have a fully wire tucked and shaved engine bay. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated I'm shaving the bay currently and then ill be spraying it myself .

Which car is this for?

You know me, I love all motor stuff, but at the same time, I do love a nice roots blower set up :)

plan on staying 302 or are you wanting to stroke it out?

What are you looking to hit hp wise? With the dart block why limit yourself to na power. Stroked, blown and 600+ hp should be on your mind.

Yea I want some decent numbers. 500+ I'm thinking victor jr heads, trickflow R intake the car already has a nitrous kit on it , so that will stay . Now I'm debating a vortech , procharger or a turbo. I love n/a power but gotta itch for boost now

It's my track car now. I will end up having to add a cage last time I had the car out I had it in the 11's very mild stock headed setup with some nitrous . Now that I have a drag ready chassis I might as well put some decent power under it. I'm thinking a 70mm turbo or going with a intercooled vortech or procharger. I also think I may drive this car on the street a bit more then I originally intended.

With my drag setup I'm going with fox control arms so the wheels sit in the wheel wells and a fox manual rack with a solid steering shaft . Flaming river manual racks for sn95's are big money . My bogarts sit about flush with the fenders now, if they were in the wells a bit more i would I be in total love with the look that's why I'm doing fox control arms. I basically only want a alternator and maybe a water pump pulley.

Hmmmm. Id suggest one of the cetri blowers. I have a feeling they will be just as streetable as the turbo plus a cheeper and easier install...

Im assuming since u own the shop youll be doing the tuning?

Yea I'm going to tune it again myself. The last tune in the car was bang on. I must have ran a 100 bottles threw my motor and when I started spraying the car it had a 100k on it. Yea centri will be easier for sure. If I go that route I would have to go blow thru style maf with a fat intercooler. Regardless I'm keeping the nitrous on the car because ill use it similar to a meth system to keep the IAT's down. If I go with a blower it has to be a super loud obnoxious like a novi 2k ,a loud vortech v1 maybe or a d1sc or something.

Check out the new AFR heads. They had them at sema and they are far better than any other for a five litre bases engine right now. Also ProCharger introduced a new centri that has electronic adjustable boost etc. Pretty sweet piece of technology to check out.

Yea I'd need 205's atleast . I'm looking at victor jr's right now there 210's this thing has to breathe I wish I put victor jr's on my fox instead of my trickflow 190's . Oh well , I don't think I've even seen the new Afr's I've only been looking latley at drag oriented sn95's as of late . That electronic boost thing sounds pretty fancy

this is all speculation, but from watching the big boys play.....

a blower will get you where you need to go, it seems. and will make for one sick car. BUT, many people are having huge success with turbo motors at the strip. the turbo cars just seem to be killing it now. you already have the nitrous to help the car spool quickly, so just put a massive turbo on it if you're not worried about amount of work needed.

Yea I've always wanted to turbo the car. So it's a for sure option in my head. I would most likely only run a 70mm or possibly a 76mm. The work involved with it doesn't scare me. Just then some of my new parts won't get used long tube headers and off road x pipe

Sell the Dart block and buy a Coyote motor with a Kenne Bell. Then you'll have daily drivability and 600 rwhp for the same price.

Paul.
