The Plastic windows have become popular because there is a new design 1 piece top that is easier to install and less expensive. But it only comes with the plastic top. The glass top is nicer and usually includes the defroster option. Properly installed it doesn’t leak. There are some design issues with the car that can cause leaks, but if you install on the top correctly it’s nice and dry. Getting the cables installed correct is very important as is the distance from the red deck to the rear bow. That dimension sets all the others.

Which top did you go with? Glass or plastic rear window? I'll be doing glass as it's nicer and last longer for sure. Plastic looks crappy too lol.
I went with the Kee's 1 piece vinyl window top for a couple of reasons. 1. much much easier to install, and 2. critters can't get in the car as easy. I bought the top and followed the installation video from cj. worthy of note... it will feel like it doesn't fit and is too small for at least a month, or more.

I’d say go with glass for sure. Vinyl windows just feel like cheap plastic and they tend to fog up or scratch really easily.
